How to Resize Photos and Signatures for Online Forms
Online forms often combine two different constraints: image dimensions and file-size limits. Treat the current form instructions as the source of truth, then build a preset around those numbers.

Write down the accepted format, width, height, minimum KB if any, and maximum KB. Do not rely on an old exam or application guide because requirements can change.
Crop before heavy compression
Removing empty paper around a signature or unnecessary background around a photo gives the encoder fewer pixels to spend bytes on and usually preserves clarity better.
Validate the final file
Check both the pixel dimensions and the encoded KB after processing. A file can meet one rule and still fail the other.
