How to Remove Location Data from Photos Before Sharing

A photo can reveal latitude and longitude without showing any visible location label. Cleaning the sharing copy is a simple privacy step when exact capture location should not leave your device.

Where location data lives

Many phones and cameras store GPS coordinates inside EXIF metadata. The coordinates travel with the image file unless an app strips them during export.

Remove GPS without deleting everything else

If you still want to preserve camera, date or copyright metadata, remove only the GPS fields rather than stripping the entire EXIF block. Batch Img Tools provides both modes.

  • Keep an untouched original archive
  • Clean the exported sharing copy
  • Preview metadata before public delivery

Do the cleanup before other batch exports

If the same photos also need resizing or compression, make metadata cleanup part of the same output so every delivered variant follows the privacy rule.

Do it now, not one file at a time.Remove photo location data →
