HEIC Not Supported When Uploading a Photo: What to Do
HEIC is efficient for phone photos, but older forms and portals may only accept JPEG. If the error names the file type, conversion is the right first fix—not random resizing.
Open the toolConvert HEIC to JPG →Do not rename .heic to .jpg
Changing the filename extension does not change the encoded image. The receiving server can still detect the original HEIC format.
Convert first, then check other rules
After conversion, validate any separate KB or pixel limits. Many forms enforce several constraints at once.
Keep the HEIC original
Use the JPEG as a submission derivative and retain the original HEIC as the higher-quality master.
